The Grayville City Council met Monday night for their final regular meeting of October. A purchase order for four new tires for the gas department truck was approved. S & K Repairs provided the low bid of $788.04 that was approved unanimously.
Mayor Joe Bisch reported that there was nothing new to report in regards to any new abandoned properties for demolition, but did suggest that the Council soon decide what to do with the City’s excess property.
The Council then approved pay requests from Kieffer Brothers of $38,893 and $37,806.67 for the water line and water well projects, and a payment of $5,570.50 for Lemac Engineering. The pay requests were approved unanimously. Mayor Bisch reported that the well was ready, but is still waiting to be hooked into the system, and for electricity to be hooked up.
The Grayville City Council will hold a special meeting for the annual Treasurer’s report on Monday, October 30th at 5:30 pm in the City Council chambers.
