The Grayville City Council met Tuesday night for the final time in 2017. Following approval of the consent agenda and the Treasurer’s report, the Council met in executive session for thirty minutes to discuss personnel matters and the Rain for Rent lease. No action was taken on either subject.
A request from the Grayville Athletic Association for the use of the old Lion’s Club Boy Scout building at the park was tabled for the Council to gather more information and to determine what to do with the contents stored in the building.
A liquor license request from Westwood Recreations for the restaurant being built as part of the Rest Up RV Campground was approved unanimously. Both a restaurant and tavern license will be created for the group. A plan to be able to deliver alcohol within the campground has been scrapped by the company.
The City received an oil income of $2125.70 according to Commissioner David Jordan.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:51 pm and the Grayville City Council will meet again on Monday, January 8th at 7 pm.
