Carmi Invitational
It was a good night for the Carmi White County Bulldogs, it was a great night for Bulldog forward Adam Phelps, who scored 28 points to lead the Dawgs to victory over Mt. Vernon, Ind.; 64 to 48.
Phelps was the high scorer for Carmi White County, followed by Ethan Mathon who put up 18 points. Devin Rankin added six, while Peyton Edwards put up four points; Ty Barbre added three and Oakley Gee added a point.
Sam Thomas was the high scorer for Mt. Vernon, putting up 23 points.
Carmi led Mt. Vernon in the first quarter; 20 to 14, In the second quarter the Dawgs outscored the Posey County team 14 to 13, but Mt. Vernon outscored the locals in the third , 21 to 11, but the Dawgs came back in the fourth to outscore Mt. Vernon 15 to 7.
Carmi White County will be back in action Friday night at 8:30 as they face the Edwards County Lions. That game will be broadcast on our sister station; WRUL 97.3 FM. And available on-line at wrul.com
