Golf Team Finishes Fourth at State
Despite the cold wind and even snow flurries, the Carmi White County Bulldog Golf Team played well during this weekend’s IHSA state golf tournament, but were only able to capture fourth place, still an impressive showing for the team led by Oakley Gee who finished sixth overall in the state.
The team had a rough start on Friday, with the day ending early when play was called off due to the weather.
However, Saturday, the team played much better, but still fell a little shy of where the team was hoping to finish.
Coach Trey Mason and his team, which includes Gee, Ty Barbre, August Saunders, kacee Fulkerson, Alex O’Daniel and Kaden Carter are already looking forward to next year. Saunders, is the only senior on the team, with the rest of the players expected back next year.
