Gallatin County Crash
Illinois State Police responded to a two vehicle crash Friday evening in Gallatin County that sent one person to an out of state hospital.
According to the traffic crash report, Philip Drone, 55, Eldorado was traveling west on Illinois Route 142, when he swerved into the east bound lane to avoid hitting a deer and crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by Richard E. Brock, 56 of Mt. Vernon, Ind.
Drone was transported to an out of state hospital. Brock escaped serious injury in the crash.
Drone was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt.
State police were assisted at the scene by Gallatin County EMS, Air Evac, Omaha Fire Department plus Jones Towing and Hoskins Towing.
