Friday Weather Blamed for Saline County Crash
While the weather was a contributing factor in a two vehicle crash Friday night in Saline County, one of the driver’s was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
Illinois State Police ticketed 70 year old Ida M. Haney of Eldorado after she lost control on the snow covered highway and hit a vehicle driven by 53 year old Eddy J. DeBose of Carmi.
Haney was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. DeBose escaped injury in the collision which occurred on U.S. 45 at the Muddy Road around 7 Friday night.
Haney’s vehicle a 2016 Cadillac SRX sustained major damage, while the DeBose vehicle, a 2008 Peterbilt truck tractor semi trailer received minor damage
