Matthew L. Frashier, 37, of Carmi was sentenced Wednesday to 4 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by 2 years of Mandatory Supervised Release on a Class 2 Felony charge of Burglary and 4 years plus 1 year of Mandatory Supervised Release on a Class 3 Felony Possession of Methamphetamine charge. After the sentence was imposed, Frashier was held in direct criminal contempt by Judge T. Scott Webb for cursing and yelling which resulted in Judge Webb imposing an additional 6 months of jail to be served consecutively to the prison sentence. Frashier’s case was investigated by the White County Sheriff’s Department.
