Foxes Roll Over Dogs
The Hamilton County Foxes rolled over the Carmi White County Bulldogs Monday afternoon in baseball action, beating CWC 16 to 3.
Carmi scored a run in the fourth, and two more in the sixth, but not enough to come close to matching the Foxes with a run in the third, three runs in the fourth, another run in the fifth, and two more in the sixth. But it was the seventh inning that put the Dogs away as Hamilton County crossed home plate nine times in that inning.
Scoring for Carmi were Stubblefield, Phelps and Lamont.
The locals are back in action today as they face Johnston City at 4:30, weather permitting. That game will be broadcast live on our sister station, WRUL 97.3 FM. Jason Craig and Chris Lucas will be on the mics. They will be on air around 4:15 or 4:20 for the pre-game show, prior to the 4:30 start of the game…again weather permitting.
The Carmi White County Lady Bulldogs will also play Johnston City this afternoon.
The local Ladies are scheduled to play West Frankfort Wednesday afternoon
On Thursday, both teams are scheduled to play Johnston City again, ., Plans are to broadcast the Softball game on WRUL 97.3 FM. Jason and Chris will have the action covered beginning around 4:15/4:20 with the pre-game show.
The boys play Mt. Vernon on Friday, with the softball team playing Saturday against Robinson….again all of this weather permitting.
