A grand jury in Hamilton County handed down two indictments against a former teacher at Hamilton County High School according to States Attorney Justin Hood.
Chad Payne was escorted from school property on March 30th. The grand jury handed down two indictments of official misconduct against Payne on Tuesday that allege between November 1st, 2016 and January 31st, 2017 Payne had sexual contact with an underage female student, and provided her with alcohol at his property.
Both charges are Class 3 felonies. Payne has been arrested by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, and has posted a $25000 bond. His first court appearance is set for June 14th.
