FMH to host STEMI Recognition Training Classes

Fairfield Memorial Hospital will be offering STEMI Recognition Classes on June 7th at 5 p.m. and June 15th at 10 a.m. for area health professionals. Both classes will be held in the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Medical Arts Complex Community Education Room. Robert Hyman will be the class instructor and healthcare professionals are encouraged to attend.

The STEMI recognition classes will further assist healthcare professionals including paramedics, nurses, and physicians in taking STEMI recognition to the next level. STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) is a very serious type of heart attack during which one of the heart’s major arteries (one of the arteries that supplies oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to the heart muscle) is blocked.
