Each month, Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors an employee who has exemplified outstanding patient care and customer service internally and externally.

In September, Jeni Chow, who has been with Fairfield Memorial Hospital for over seven years, was named Employee of the Month. Jeni’s peers describe her as a team player who is always upbeat and highly motivated. She has a positive outlook and attitude when doing her work, and is always there to help her fellow workers. Jeni enjoys cooking and often organizes carry-in meals for her department to boost the morale of her fellow staff. Her coworkers agree that she is always genuine, happy, and upbeat and you know when Jeni enters the room, because she can positively affect any difficult situation by being that high-spirited team player.
“Jeni has worked many shifts and departments over the years, and has worked weekends, days, evenings, or whatever shift needed covered at that time. When it comes to learning any new skill, she responds positively. She often tells management to just tell her what needs to be done, and then makes it happen. She respects management’s need for such flexibility and support to make the team function at optimal levels. Jeni is always willing to give up a day off to jump in and fill a need when one arises and as a manager in a fast-paced department, this makes her extremely valued,” stated Kim Heisner, Director of Housekeeping.
