Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors employees monthly for providing extraordinary patient care and customer services within and outside of the Hospital.
In January, Tammy Shamblin RN, who works in the FMH Med/Surg Unit, was selected as the January Employee of the Month. Tammy has been with Fairfield Memorial Hospital since January of 2019. Tammy is a dedicated worker and takes pride in her work on the Med/Surg Unit at FMH to make sure that patients receive the best possible care.
“Tammy is the kind of nurse who pours her whole heart into caring for her patients. Recently, she had a young patient with a difficult family situation. She was able to reunite the mother and son and diffuse the tense situation. When a patient was discharged to a long term care unit, she delivered the patient’s favorite breakfast to him to brighten his day. She goes the extra mile to care for her patients. What an asset she is to FMH and I am so proud to have her as a member of my staff.” stated FMH Med/Surg & ICU Nurse Leader, Keirah McWilliams RN BSN.
