Cancer Care Support Group:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital holds a Cancer Support Group meeting once a month on the second Thursday of the each month from 6-7 p.m. in the Medical Arts Complex (MAC) Community Education Room, with the next meeting being held, Thursday, July 13th.
Coffee Club:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s Senior Life Solutions will hold the next Coffee Club from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 20th. The Coffee Club meets monthly at the Kontiki and is open to older adults.
CPR Classes:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital holds CPR Classes monthly on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. You must preregister by calling 618-847-8243. This month’s CPR class is scheduled for Wednesday, July 5th.
Multiple Sclerosis Support Group:
The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group will meet Saturday, July 1st from 11 a.m. – 12 noon, in the FMH Medical Arts Complex. The MS Support Group meets the first Saturday of each month.
Diabetes Support Group:
Diabetes Support Group Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the FMH Medical Arts Complex Community Education Room. However, due to the 4th of July holiday there will not be a meeting. The next scheduled Diabetes Support Group Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 1st.
Fourth of July Fun!
In honor of Independence Day, Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s Cafeteria will be placing a tablecloth on a table just outside the doors of the cafeteria for guests and employees to sign and share why they are proud to be an American. In addition, everyone is welcome to enjoy a FREE patriotic shortcake dessert with their meal purchase on July 5th.
Fairfield Memorial Hospital to host ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Training:
Fairfield Memorial Hospital will hold the next Advanced Cardiac Life Support class on July 21st at 8 a.m. The cost is $30 for the ACLS course. Should a CPR card be needed, there will be an additional $10 charge. If you would like learn more or to register for the course, please contact Deb Spillman, CMSRN, FMH Clinical Practice Coordinator, at 618-847-8241. Future class dates for Advanced Cardiac Life Support: September 12, November 17th, and January 4th. The next Pediatric Advanced Life Support classes ($30 class fee) will be held on August 1st, October 18th, and December 4th. If possibly, please register one week prior to class.
