It’s quality…not quantity. At least it was at the White County Fair last night. Less than a dozen cars turned out for the first Demolition Derby, but those that participated put on a good show. A trio of Belfords took home prizes, but Jeremy and Jason Belford couldn’t take care of business against Scott Howard in the Chain & Wire team derby and Howard outlasted both to take home the top prize. Jason Belford took 2nd prize and Jeremy Belford settled for 3rd. The Mad Dog Award reserved for the most aggressive driver went to Rick Belford. The open demolition derby coming up Saturday reportedly has several more vehicles registered that drivers are theoretically saving them for.
White County Farm Bureau Manager Doug Anderson tells WROY News the Young Leader Committee’s Pedal Tractor Pull scheduled for Saturday at the White County Fair has been cancelled. No other details have been provided.
