Cathy Mitchell, and Linda Hodge spoke with Thursday’s Kiwanis meeting about the First Bank Travel program. This is a program the bank has offered for over 20 years. The travel program provides the opportunity for clients to travel without the worry of driving. Instead they get to sit back and enjoy the ride knowing that all arrangements are made and experience places they may not have visited otherwise. When you travel with First Bank you have the opportunity to make new friends, play games, and also get served a continental breakfast on the bus ride. They also watch movies on the bus! First Bank does four to five trips a year, with most of them being day trips.
Some places they have been in the previous years Derby Diner in Clarksville, IN which is one of the oldest and largest continually operating professional dinner theatres in the country. They have traveled to St. Genevieve Catholic Church and visited Cave Vineyard. This year went to the corvette museum in Bowling Green Kentucky. Also, coming up they are traveling to Petersburg, KY for the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY. In October, they will be going to the Flea Market in Nashville, and to top off the travel season for 2017 they will be going to Kentucky to the Derby Diner Theater for their Christmas Program. They will enjoy a buffet style dinner prior to the performance. Then they are going to stop at the St. Matthews Mall and then tour the Mega-Caverns Lights under Louisville.
Anyone in the community can travel with First Bank. The bank says it is open to anyone. You don’t have to be a bank client, or old to travel with them!
When asked “why does First Bank do this” Linda answered by simply stating “First Bank of committed to building relationships with our clients, not just transactions. We encourage all of our employees to invest their time back into our communities”.
