Farm Family of Year Announced

The Rush Family from rural Fairfield has been announced as the 2019 Illiana Farm Family of the Year.  The designation was awarded last night at the close of the TOC Farm Profit Preview show in Vincennes.

Jim Rush and son Matt raise cattle and grain.  Jim’s wife Brenda and Matt’s wife Sarah support the operation.  Both couples are active in Wayne County and Illinois Farm activities including the Farm Bureau and Illinois Corn Growers Association.

The Rush’s support local 4-H programs and Future Farmers of America.  Both Jim and Matt Rush are also Volunteer Fire Fighters.

The Rush family received a plaque and a sign for their farm designating their home farm as the 2019 Illiana Farm of the year.
