Fairfield Memorial Hospital Association’s Board of Directors and Administration are excited to announce that plans are being made to embark on a major expansion project.
This expansion will allow for Fairfield Memorial Hospital to expand services and develop new services for the health of our patients. In this expansion project, we will be expanding our Surgical Services Department, Emergency Medicine Department, relocating and expanding our Urgent Care, and creating additional Physician Offices spaces for our expanding specialty services in the next two years. Also included in the project are plans to build a brand new Skilled Care Unit on top of this expansion. This expansion will bring an additional 60 jobs to our area.
“In 1949, a group of community leaders came together and decided to take action and pull their resources together for the benefit of the greater good. Fairfield Memorial Hospital was born from their vision. It is time to take that vision and build it into something sustainable for generations to come. This is how we will be fulfilling the promise of tomorrow today!” stated Katherine Bunting-Williams, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
Attached is a rendering of the project that is being designed by The Austin Company. More information about this expansion will be forthcoming as we move forward with this project.
