In White County Court Monday afternoon, 58 year old Jeffrey Sanders of Fairfield was sentenced to five years in prison on one count of aggravated domestic battery according to States Attorney Denton Aud.
Sanders pled guilty to the charge on August 28th, and must serve at least 85% of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole. Following incarceration, Sanders will be under mandatory supervised release for four years, and was also ordered by Judge T. Scott Webb to pay all costs of the court and make restitution to his victim.
The case against Sanders was investigated by the White County Sheriff’s Department, and Sanders was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle.
