The board unanimously approved an ordinance to not allow the sale or distribution of cannabis, mainly due to there not being much chance of a dispensary locating there or the state allowing the village to have one. Only board member Jim Fechtig was not present at the meeting.
The main intersection will be closed on Saturday, October 19th for the annual Car Show.
There was some damage to the shop roof recently and the board approved the replacing of four panels from Kincaids at a cost of just under $500. They also purchased two additional panels in case they are needed.
The board agreed to donate $50 to the Masonic Lodge for their Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday, October 31st from 5 to 8 PM.
Trick-or-Treat hours for the village on October 31st will be from 4:30 to 8 PM.
Cleanup Day is Saturday, October 26th from 7 to 11 AM.
$2,545 was approved to replace the gas meter at the Booth School.
They are still looking into purchasing a pickup truck for the utilities department.
The board went into a 27 minute executive session to discuss personnel with no action taken.
