An Enfield man has been charged in Wayne County for criminal damage to government supported property after he was indicted by a grand jury.
45 year old Kent W. Woodrow was released from the White County Jail Tuesday night after posting a $5,500 bond. According to Wayne County authorities, Woodrow cut a six foot deep ditch on City of Fairfield property as he was constructing a waterfowl hunting area on his property which borders the city owned site south of Interstate 64 near the White County Line.
The city owned property is the site of a wetland mitigation project, and flooding caused by the construction of the ditch has the potential to destroy hundreds of trees planted by Fairfield as a part of the project.
