Egyptian Health Department Reports 1 Saline County Death; 20 New COVID-19 Cases Wednesday

Egyptian Health Department was notified of a Saline County resident who has passed away due to complication of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Egyptian Health Department is saddened by this news and their thoughts are with the family.

 

Egyptian Health Department was notified on Wednesday, of 20 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (10)
    • 2 females under the age of 10
    • 1 male under the age of 10
    • 2 females in their 20’s
    • 1 male in his 30’s
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 2 males in their 40’s
    • 1 female in her 80’s

 

  • Gallatin County (1)
    • 1 male in his 50’s

 

  • White County (9)
    • 2 males in their teens
    • 1 male in his 20’s
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 1 male in his 40’s
    • 2 females in their 60’s
    • 1 male in his 80’s
    • 1 female; age demographics unknown-case status in progress.

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,263 lab confirmed positives, including 41 deaths, 1,183 have recovered,  White County has had a total of 1,532 lab-confirmed positives, including 24 deaths, 680 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 445 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 253 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 3,751 new confirmed cases and 81 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,112,181 confirmed cases and 18,964 deaths in Illinois.
