Early Voting Underway
In one week, Tuesday, Nov. 6, Americans will go to the polls in what many have deemed the “most important mid-term election ever.”
While that determination generally is stated by opponents of President Donald Trump, every election is important, as voting is the Founding Father’s greatest gift to all Americans.
Locally, grace registration is underway. If eligible voters have not registered, that can still be done in the White County Clerk’s Office in the courthouse, here in Carmi. Those just now registering will be required to go ahead and vote while registering.
Early voting is also underway. Paula Dozier, White County Clerk, was a guest on Open Line Monday morning. She explained her office will be open this weekend for early voting. One may vote Saturday from 8 until noon in the Clerk’s Office in the White County Courthouse, here in Carmi.
