Driver Busted on Traffic Violation
Carmi Police arrested a local resident following a traffic stop Wednesday.
James D. Smith, 71, 129 College Blvd, Carmi was stopped on Abelson Drive, where he was arrested for driving on a suspended license and illegal transportation of alcohol.
Smith was transported to the City County Jail, where he posted $150 cash bond and was released from custody.
Smith was stopped just before 9:30 Wednesday morning.
