Around 8 pm Thursday, a woman called the Carmi Police Department and reported a Domestic Battery incident.
The woman stated that her fiancé, Steven Forrester, had choked her and hit her with a frying pan in the legs. An officer noticed red marks on her legs that were consistent with her statement.
Officers went to a residence on Marguerite Street to arrest Forrester. He was taken to the White County Jail where he remains until he can see a judge.
