Walk’n Roller Dodgeball Tournament

The Crossville Walk’n Roller Relay for Life Team will be hosting the annual Dodgeball Tournament later this month.

The 2019 tournament will be held Saturday March 30 at the Crossville Community Gym, the former Crossville High School Gym.

There are two divisions; Junior; ages 14 to 18 and Adult, ages 18 and up. At the present time there are two all Girl teams signed up and there may be enough interest among the ladies to create another division.

The registration fee is $75 and each team is allowed ten members with six playing at a time.

It’s a double elimination tournament.

If you are interested in playing or fielding a team contact David Rider at 618-383-6739 or Trish Pringle at 618-383-1889 for a registration packet and waivers.

The tournament will include concessions, a 50/50 drawing, and a silent auction.

This year, Brad Cox of Local Yokels  will be firing up his grill/smoker for barbecue sandwiches and barbecue chicken legs. Orders for pork loins are also being taken at this time. Orders can be left on Facebook or calling Trish Pringle or Cox. He can reached at the Crossville hardware store.

The loins will be ready between 11 and noon that Saturday (march 30). Each loin will average about ten pounds. A whole loin will be $40, with a half loin available for $25.

Those purchasing the loin are reminded to bring a metal pan as they are juicy and hot.
