30 year old Dylan Gene Desper of Carmi pled guilty to one count of residential burglary in White County Court on Monday in a case investigated by the Carmi Police Department. 
According to States Attorney Denton Aud, as a result, Desper was sentenced to eight years in Department of Corrections custody and will serve two years of mandatory supervised release after incarceration. Desper was also ordered to pay all fines and fees as well as restitution to his victim.
Desper was represented by Carmi attorney Jonathan Turpin in the case.
