It’s nearly White County Fair time and it’s also a political year. That means there will be a heightened excitement surrounding the Republicans and Democrats booths.
The White County Democrats plan to offer a two day stay for two at the Rocky Comfort Cabins in scenic Makanda, Illinois. These cabins are also, maybe better, known as the “Hobbit Houses”. Three are available and the winner will have their choice for their stay. The cabins sit on the Shawnee Wine Trail, within walking distance of a winery and close to several other activities. If that wasn’t enough, the Dems will also give away a Canon Extreme Crossbow that shoots 330 feet per second, that prize donated by candidate for White County Sheriff, Jonathan Williams.

There’s no charge to register for either prize, Democrats just want you to stop by their booth at the Fair August 5th – 11th, grab some free popcorn, and fill out a registration. Prizes will be given away on the final day of the fair, Saturday, August 11th.
