Darren Bailey Sworn In as State Representative:
A New Voice Fighting for Conservative Values in Illinois
SPRINGFIELD…Local crop farmer, Darren Bailey of Louisville was sworn in Wednesday for the 101st Illinois General Assembly. State Representative Darren Bailey has set up his district office in Louisville for constituents to meet with him if they need. The new district office will be located at 152 South Church Street in Louisville across from the courthouse and Veterans Memorial.
“I am excited to serve the good people of the 109th District and represent our rural, conservative values in the Illinois House of Representatives,” said Rep. Bailey. “Among other issues, one of my first bills to sponsor will be to permit schools to prominently display the words ‘In God We Trust’ just like our American currency has on every dollar bill.”
The 109th District includes all or portions of nine counties including Clay, Edwards, Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence, Richland, Wabash, Wayne, and White. Each of the 118 Representative districts in Illinois have approximately 108,000 residents.
Rep. Bailey is reminding people that as of January 1st, 253 new laws took effect in Illinois.
