A 56 year old Dahlgren man, Alan L. Rubenacker, is free on $300 cash bond following his Tuesday evening by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies were dispatched around 5:46 p.m. to State Route 14 West of McLeansboro for a report of a reckless driver travelling eastbound towards McLeansboro driving in and out of oncoming traffic. Deputies were able to intercept the vehicle near the intersection of Jackson and Main Street in McLeansboro , where the vehicle drove into oncoming traffic almost striking another vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated and Rubenacker was arrested and cited for improper lane usage, driving while license revoked, DUI alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol (open container). The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rubenacker back in September of this year for DUI Alcohol/Driving Revoked. He also has previous DUI offenses in Jefferson County in 2015 and White County in 2016.
