The Egyptian Health Department and the Posey County, Indiana Health Department have completed their investigation into what caused several Carmi-White County students to become ill at prom earlier this month.
The joint investigation concluded that norovirus, not food poisoning was the cause of the outbreak. The source of the norovirus, a highly contagious disease, could not be determined.
Both health departments now consider the case closed, and there will be no further investigation.
