Scott Mareing will have the Carmi White County School Board covered this evening for WROY News. The School Board will hear Superintendent Lee’s monthly report. The board will also consider approval of a 3 Circles Ag Grant which would compensate Ag teachers for working an additional 60 days or 400 hours outside the normal classroom day. The synopsis reads the objective is to provide additional FFA opportunities for students. It’s a 50/50 matching grant that would allow for additional salary compensation for the high school’s two ag instructors.
The board is also expected to accept resignations submitted by Michael Rushing and Jessica Cozzello of Brownsville, Meredith Lamp of Washington, and Tonya Cobb of Lincoln.
Following closed session, the board may formally employ a new Special Education Individual Aide for Brownsville, a Breakfast Supervisor at Lincoln, Special Education Classroom Aide for Jefferson, Building Volunteers at Jefferson, and a Pre K Teacher at Washington.
The Carmi White County Unit 5 School Board meets at 7 tonight.
