Carmi White County Takes Two From Edwards County
The Carmi White County Bulldogs took both games in a doubleheader with the Edwards County Lions Tuesday afternoon.
The locals won the first game 2 to 1.
Berekshivlli and Stubblefield scored for Carmi in that game.
Blazier and Mahon shared pitching duties.
In the second game, Carmi White County defeated Edwards County 7 to 5.
Scoring for Carmi were Blazier, Rankin, Mahon, Fulkerson and Berekshivlli.
Mahon and Mendenhall shared the pitching in that match.
The baseball team is scheduled to play Edwards County again tomorrow, May 2. Grayville is on the schedule for Friday, and the locals will take on DuQuion Saturday morning. That game is scheduled to be broadcast on our sister station; WRUL 97.3 FM. Jason Craig and Chris Lucas will cover the game Saturday.
Herrin and Crab Orchard wrap up the regular baseball season for the Dawgs on May 8 and 10th respectively.
The Lady Bulldogs were scheduled to play Edwards County Tuesday afternoon, with plans to broadcast that game, however it was cancelled.
The softball team will play Johnston City on May 6, that’s a change from the schedule as the team was set to play Carbondale, but will now face Johnston City.
