A special meeting of the Carmi-White County School Board was held Monday night to seat the new Board members.
Superintendent Brad Lee reviewed the April election results. Kelli Chapman and Kent “Pete” Fulkerson were re-elected and Marcie Hoskins was elected, all to four year terms.
The current Board adjourned and the new Board was called to order.

Officers for the next school year were elected; Kelli Chapman as president, Tom Sutton as vice-president and Barb Mitchell as secretary.
The Board approved to continue to hold meetings on the third Monday of each month, except Martin Luther King Day in January and President’s Day in February, when those meetings will be held on the third Tuesday. All meetings will begin at 7 pm in the Jefferson Attendance Center new building.
They adopted the policies of the previous Board, in order to be in compliance with the State Board of Education.
The meeting then adjourned at 7:16 pm.
