Corn planted was at 73 percent, compared to 100 percent for both last year and 5-year average. Corn emerged was at 51 percent. Corn condition was 3 percent very poor, 9 percent poor, 41 percent fair, 42 percent good, and 5 percent excellent.
Soybeans planted was at 49 percent, compared to 96 percent last year and the 5-year average of 91 percent. Soybeans emerged was at 25 percent.
Winter wheat headed reached 93 percent, compared to 100 percent last year and the 5-year average of 98 percent. Winter wheat condition was rated at 8 percent very poor, 19 percent poor, 43 percent fair, 28 percent good, and 2 percent excellent.
