Carmi Women’s Charity Club is once again sponsoring a Corn Day Pageant, open to children living in the Carmi White County Unit #5 School District. The pageant will be held Friday, October 11 at 5:30 pm. at the Carmi White County High School Auditorium. The Baby Miss and Mister contest, for ages 0-23 months, will be voted on by putting money into canisters. 1 penny equals one vote. All other contestants, Toddler Miss (2-5 years, but not yet in Kindergarten), Tiny Miss (Grades K-2), Little Miss (Grades 3-5), and Junior Miss (Grades 6-8) will compete on stage in a judged contest. There will be a mandatory informational meeting Wednesday, September 18th at the White County Farm Bureau Building. Baby contestants are asked to meet any time between 5:00 pm. – 7:00 pm. to have their photo taken for their canister. Toddler Miss contestants should meet at 5:30 pm., withTiny Miss and Little Miss contestants meeting at 6:00 pm. and Junior Miss contestants at 6:30 pm.
