Constitution Week Proclamation Signed
Next week, Sept 17 to 23, is National Constitution Week and Carmi Mayor Jeff Pollard recently signed a proclamation whereby the city acknowledges the special week.
Constitution Week was established in August 1965 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who signed it into law.
Joining the mayor for the proclamation signing were local members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution including Cindy Conley, Barbara Karger and Juanita Harris.
