Folks wanting to obtain their Illinois Concealed Carry License have an opportunity coming up at Wabash Valley College. The course will be offered on Thursday and Friday nights, September 19th and 20th from 6 to 10pm nightly and also Saturday, September 21st from 8am – 4pm. D Ray Etzkorn, a Mt. Carmel Police Officer has been tabbed as the instructor for the course.
Information on the class indicates those who sign up for the class will not only learn that which is required by the Act, but also how to handle a handgun and hone skills as a marksman and even survive a real world encounter. The course is designed to give, both folks who are new to handguns and accomplished shooters, the proper mindset, skills and abilities that come with the right to “bear arms” for the purpose of self defense.
