Click or Ticket Patrol Results Announced
The Illinois State Police at District 19 headquarters recently released the results of occupant restraint enforcement patrols in Wayne, Saline and Gallatin counties conducted during November.
State police cited 11 drivers in Wayne County for safety belt citations and issued four written warnings.
There were 12 seatbelt violations noted in Saline and Gallatin counties with six warnings issued.
Most drivers know safety belt save lives, but some ignore their safety and that of their families by neglecting to use seatbelts and child restraint devices.
The patrols reinforce the occupant protection message by focusing on those who ignore the law.
