Christmas in New Harmony
It’ll be a busy weekend in New Harmony as the village celebrates the Christmas season with the annual Christmas in New Harmony Saturday and Sunday.
Both days are filled with various activities including breakfast with Santa on Saturday from 8 to 10 at the Catholic Community Center.
A shopping gala, featuring antiques and crafts will be held at the Ribeyre Gym Saturday from 9 to 5 and then Sunday from 10 until 4.
There will be an artisan Craft show at the Rapp-Owen Granary during those same hours Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday will also feature the Main Street Parade with special guest of honor; Santa Claus.
There will be chances to get a photo with santa, Saturday from 11 to 1 and then Sunday from 1 to 3 in the Red Bud Park.
The celebration will include music and dance from the Nutcracker’s Ballet Saturday. A matinee will begin at 1 with an evening show at 7 in Thrall’s Opera House. There will be a $10 charge for the matinee and $25 admission for the evening show. Children ten and under will be admitted free. Doors will open at 7.
There will also be open houses at many of the New Harmony businesses and a spokesman for New Harmony Business Associates invited everyone to visit the village during Christmas in New Harmony.
