State Championship golf teams to be honored
On Friday, February 8th prior to the home varsity basketball game against Hamilton County; Carmi White County High School will honor the members of the 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978 and 1979 state championship golf teams.
Featuring only 13 different golfers over a span of 5 years; the Bulldog golf team’s amassed 5 consecutive NEC conference championships, 5 consecutive regional championships, 5 consecutive sectional championships, and 5 consecutive Class A state championships. During that time the golf team members also combined for 13 individual state medals including 2 individual state champions.
The Carmi Country Club is holding an open house for the state championship teams from 3pm to 6pm prior to the event at the high school. The public is welcome to come and greet the golf team members.
