Hamilton Memorial Hospital District announced today that Victoria Woodrow, Chief Executive Officer, will be stepping down from her role effective July 24, following ten years of dedicated service to the hospital and the surrounding community.
Since joining Hamilton Memorial, Woodrow has led the organization through a period of significant growth and transformation. Under her leadership, the hospital achieved key milestones in quality of care, financial and operational revitalization, and the modernization of both its physical infrastructure and electronic medical record system. Her vision and guidance have been instrumental in advancing the hospital’s mission as a vital healthcare resource in this rural region.
“Victoria has been a tireless advocate for our patients, staff, and community,” said Wayne Morris, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Her commitment to excellence and her steady leadership have laid a strong foundation for the future of our hospital.”
To ensure a smooth transition, the Board of Directors has appointed Chief Financial Officer Justin Epperson as Interim CEO. Epperson brings extensive experience and a deep knowledge of the hospital’s operations, and will assume leadership responsibilities following Woodrow’s departure.
“Serving as CEO of Hamilton Memorial has been one of the greatest honors of my career,” said Victoria Woodrow. “This hospital and clinics, its staff, and the community we serve hold a special place in my heart. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together —from strengthening our financial position, navigating the pandemic, and improving the quality of care we provide. While this decision was not easy, I leave confident in the hospital’s future and the remarkable team that will carry the mission forward.”
The Board has begun the process of identifying the hospital’s next permanent CEO and will provide updates as the search progresses.
