A Carmi woman’s first book hits bookshelves and will be available on Amazon this Friday. Founder and CEO of Mom Stuff, LLC, Cassie (Hughes) Pigg is getting real and details her personal struggle with severe postpartum anxiety after giving birth to her first child with her book, “Mommy’s Got a Tramp Stamp”. Pigg had her daughter in August of 2018 and is sharing her story in an effort to help new mothers. She says motherhood can be a difficult journey, and her goal is to make sure moms are equipped with the necessary resources for survival.
“I’m someone who wants to end the stigma and ensure no other mom experiences my struggle. I want women to have open and honest conversations about their emotions postpartum. Let’s get real, though. You don’t recover from postpartum anxiety. It is something you survive.”
Pigg will be a guest on WROY’s Open Line program as she sits down with Jc Tinsley on Friday morning to discuss her journey and the manuscript along with other plans she has moving forward. “Mommy’s Got a Tramp Stamp.” Is available for purchase on Amazon and at major book retailers on Friday, June 10th.
