Dunn to Prison
A 35 year old Carmi woman was sentenced to prison in White County Circuit Court Wednesday.
Starlett R. Dunn, was sentenced to three years in a Department of Corrections facility and ordered to serve one year supervised release (parole) on a charge of burglary, a Class 3 felony and also sentenced to three years on a charge of retail theft, a Class 4 felony.
The sentences will run concurrently according to the White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud.
Dunn had been placed on probation in the burglary charge for a car burglary. But, while on probation, she committed retail theft, resulting in her probation being revoked and the sentences being imposed.
Dunn will also have to pay court costs and restitution.
Carmi Police Department was the investigating agency in both incidents.
