
In the early morning hours on Thursday, Carmi Police were notified of a person asleep behind the wheel in front of First Mid Bank.
Officers arrived at the area and noticed the driver as 32-year-old Kelsie Collard and observed pills in plain view.
Once Collard was awake, the police conducted a thorough investigation, revealing that the pills were a Schedule four controlled substance. Not only that, they discovered Methamphetamine, a Methamphetamine pipe, and Cannabis in the vehicle.
Collard was placed under arrest, and her vehicle was towed. She is facing a series of serious charges, including Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Cannabis by a Driver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
