Carmi Woman Busted After Traffic Stop
Carmi Police made a traffic stop late Tuesday night that resulted in the arrest of Tamala J. Buchanan of 911 Sycamore Street, Carmi.
Buchanan was arrested for no valid driver’s license, (the expiration was over a year ago) after the stop, and transported to the City County Jail.
After a check of Buchanan’s person and possession five white oval pills were discovered in her purse, resulting in an additional charge of a controlled substance.
Buchanan remained in custody early Wednesday.
