Building Resiliency in Childhood
This is the last presentation within the trauma series. Resiliency is a protective factor that helps individuals cope with stressful situations such as trauma. During this session participants will learn about the importance of understanding trauma, building relationships with students and families, and strategies that build resiliency in kids.
Presenter: Jason Robershaw, M.A., LPC
Jason currently serves as Clinical Director in the Child/Adolescent Division of Egyptian Health Department. Formerly, he served as a crisis counselor, working within the local schools and communities. He has received training in areas such as brain development, childhood trauma, and several evidence-based practices. With two children of his own, he also leads a parenting skills group. Jason has nine years of experience working in the mental health field.
