The Carmi Police Department made a pair of arrests Tuesday night after information led to a investigation uncovered a marijuana growing operation on Sixth Street.
At 11:06pm, city police executed a search warrant at 701 Sixth Street and took 30 year old Levi Browing and 28 year old Tiffany Williford into custody. During the search, officers discovered a small growing operation as well as marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Both Browning and Williford were taken to the White County Jail, where they are being held pending court hearings. Each has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful production of cannabis.
Carmi police were aided in the investigation and warrant execution by the White County Sheriff’s Department and the White County State’s Attorney.
