Tuesday morning, Udean Paul reported to Carmi Police that overnight, someone had pried open the front door of her residence on Stewart Street. A dresser had been ransacked, but Paul was unsure of what had been taken.
Tuesday afternoon, Shaun Mecum reported a missing license plate from his vehicle.
Carmi Police arrested 30 year old Jeff Parkhurst of Carmi following a traffic stop on Cherry Street Tuesday night. Parkhurst was taken into custody just before 9 pm for driving on a suspended license. A passenger, 31 year old Jennifer Parkhurst was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis. Parkhurst was transported to the White County Jail, and later released after posting a $150 bond.
Wednesday night, Carmi Police arrested 28 year old Elijah James of Maunie on a White County warrant for retail theft. James was taken into custody just after 8 pm at a residence on Fackney Street. He is being held at the White County Jail on a $150 bond.
Early Thursday morning, 20 year old Neola Wilson of Carmi was arrested at a residence on Sycamore Street for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Wilson was transported to the White County Jail at 12:47 am and is being held in lieu of a $150 bond.
