Carmi Police make three arrests over weekend

Friday afternoon, Charlotte Browning reported to Carmi Police that her grandson’s bicycle had been stolen from her yard on Foley Drive on Halloween night.  The bike was described as a 20 inch Kent Ambush bicycle.

27 year old John Ealey of Carmi was arrested Friday night by Carmi Police for violating an order of protection.  Ealey was taken into custody at 6:43 pm at his residence on Oak Street and was transported to the White County Jail.  Ealey was released after posting a $150 bond.

43 year old Joshua Highwood of Carmi was arrested following a traffic stop by Carmi Police Friday night.  Highwood was stopped at the intersection of Fairground Road and Main Street at 8:28 pm and charged with driving on a revoked license.  Highwood was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  He was transported to the White County Jail and remains in custody in lieu of a $3000 bond.

Saturday night, 47 year old Scott Jarvis of Enfield was arrested for criminal trespass at the Carmi Village Apartments.  Jarvis was also charged with resisting a police officer when he was taken into custody at 9:10 pm.  Jarvis was later released from the White County Jail after posting a $150 bond.
