Carmi Police make several arrests over weekend

24 year old Daniel Desper of Carmi was arrested Friday night by Carmi Police at the Elks Lodge on charges of disorderly conduct and assault.  Desper was taken into custody at 6:38 pm and transported to the White County Jail.  He was later released after posting a $150 bond.

 

36 year old Stacy Vaughan of Marion surrendered herself at the Carmi Police Department Friday night to answer a White County warrant for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Vaughan was taken into custody at 9:12 pm and transferred to the White County Jail.  She later posted a $500 bond and was released.

 

Carmi officers arrested 45 year old Stephanie Odom of Carmi Friday night following a traffic stop at Oak Street and 10th Street.  Odom was taken into custody on charges of driving on a suspended license, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and a suspended registration due to lack of insurance.  Odom was taken to the White County Jail and released after posting a $150 bond.

 

On Saturday, a visitor to the White County Jail was arrested by Carmi Police on warrants from Richland and Hamilton Counties.  45 year old Susan Shock of McLeansboro was processed at the Jail just after 6 pm and released after posting $600 in total bond and paying failure to appear fees.

 

Carmi officers served a Jefferson County warrant on a Jail inmate after a records check found the charge before she was released.  39 year old Joyce Julian was serving a weekend sentence and was released after posting a $1075 bond on the Jefferson County charge.
